Home to our Prize-Winning Flock of Shropshire Sheep

We farm about 180 acres in the Exe and Culm valleys in Devon, 15 miles from Exeter, where we raise Pedigree Shropshire Sheep, who are renowned for their ability to graze fir tree plantations, orchards and vineyards without barking the trees.

Our flock has some of the highest performance index sheep in the Shropshire breed  (Signet recording) with our stock sire Hayne Oak Nelson the top rated terminal sire in the breed.

We look forward to welcoming you to visit our flock to see the stock we have available.

Traditional Quality Comes First

All our animals are traditionally reared, primarily on grass, and our aim is to produce animals according to the highest welfare principles. They have a good life, and produce high performing and lean carcases.

Our Shropshire Sheep are easy lambing and produce the very best in meat quality, and are highly regarded as Terminal Sires.

Old and New Together

We draw on family involvement and expertise with Shropshire sheep which goes back over 100 years, but we are also committed to modern farming practices. We have Imported Rams from Denmark, New Zealand  and the USA. We are members of a Signet Breed Recording Group, to evaluate and improve the breed characteristics in the UK with one of our rams the top terminal index rated ram in the breed in 2014.  In recent years we have also Exported Rams & Ewes to Jersey, Guernsey, France, Austria, Switzerland, Germany and Slovenia.
